It has been 6 months since my last confession...
I am irritated that I haven't updated this blog in some time, I was on a fairly good run, and was finding it useful to keep my mind on writing.
However, I have done a little better over the summer months than I have in years gone by. Pressures of work are, as ever, partially responsible for my failure to post here, though they are not the sole demand on my time. However, I have got some work completed in recent months. A few short stories have been completed and await revision and editing - it is now a case of finding a possible outlet of publication for them.
My thoughts have also turned back to longer form projects, with revisions and re-imaginings of longstanding projects occupying my thoughts and keeping me awake for several nights in the average week.
I'm still looking for professional and personal opportunities in writing, and hopeful that these will come, just as long as I can stave off the demands of career and general life with which every writer must surely contend.
I mean, every novelist has a pile of unfinished ironing, right? They have to, surely? I have that down to a fine art. It's the completion of the manuscript I need to perfect...
I shall keep striving and scribing...
